Gourley, a Maury County Master Gardener member,
will give a presentation on Invasive Plants in
Tennessee. Candice has a varied background
in horticulture, landscape design, professional
plantsman, critical care nursing, long haul
trucker/trainer and office management.

Monthly Master Gardeners Meeting
Lynn Turkette and her husband Lyn Laster will
give a presentation on Growing Lavender.
Lynn and Lyn operate the Whispering Pines Lavender Farm
in Belfast, TN. In 2022 they decided to
turn Lyn’s 31-acre family farm into a lavender
farm. Before starting they had not had any
crop experience other than the family garden.
Prior to starting Whispering Pines Farm, Lynn
worked in the dental field for 20 years and her
husband worked in collision repair for 40 years.
when they decided to turn in 2022.
You can find Lynn set up at the Petersburg Flea and Farmers
Market selling her fresh or dried lavender
and her essential oils.
